Patty Szybunka and William Millard Honoured at North Shore Sport Awards

He Patty Szybunka was honoured by being awarded the North Shore Sports Awards Come back Award. In 2024 at a meet she was injured and spent time in a wheel chair followed by months of rehabilitation. It was questioned as to whether she would ever be able to run again. However she persevered and was back on the track in 2025 winning and breaking records.

William Millard, as a grade 12 athlete, vaulted to first place in the pole vault for the second year in a row at the BC High School Championships. During the summer William won the BC Jamboree Championship Pole Vault and was named to three BC Teams bringing home medals from all but one. He is presently enjoying a track scholarship at the University of Alberta.
