CONGRATULATIONS Patty Szybunka . Patty has been awarded the top BC female masters athlete for 2026 by BC Athletics. Also, she has been notified that she is receiving the Come Back award at the North Shore Sport Awards. A year ago she had an accident which put her in a wheelchair but has battled back to breaking BC masters records for her age group.
GREAT NEWS Callum Williams has amazed all with his national indoor records. He arrived home from the Canadian Indoor Championships in Toronto, Feb 27 to March 1, with three national records - pentathlon 3065 points, triple jump 13.03m and 60m hurdles 8.49secs. In Kamloops at the BC Indoor Championships on March 7/8 he also broke the indoor record with a long jump of 6.30m.
