NORTH & WEST VANCOUVER CLUB INFORMATION AND POLICIES

CLUB ORGANIZATION

Norwesters Track and Field Club is a non-profit society registered under the Societies Act (B.C.). The Club is affiliated with the B.C. Amateur Athletics Association (B.C.A.A.A.) the Provincial Governing body for Track and Field, and Athletics Canada. It has been a major track and field organization since 1960. The Club is governed by a Board of Directors of not more than sixteen elected by the Club membership. It has its own constitution.

 
 
FINANCES

NorWesters Track and Field Club is independent and self-supporting. It receives no regular financial or material assistance from outside bodies, private or governmental. The Club’s policy is to keep membership fees as low as possible. A substantial deficit each year is made up through fundraising and sponsorship of sports events. Major annual recurring expenses are sports equipment, meet entries, athletes travel, coaches travel. coaches expenses and facilities rental. Occasional grants from individuals and services clubs, notably North Shore Optimists and Rotary, are gratefully acknowledged.
